Skate Skills 101 Programme

From a skating beginner to a skating winner!

If you have been thinking about learning roller derby, then ARRG’s Skate Skills 101 programme will take you through all of the skills you will need to play or referee roller derby.  You’ll also get fit, have fun, and meet lots of new people in the process! A lot of us started with this programme and now we are hooked!

ARRG runs a 14 week new skaters programme for beginners where we teach you everything you need to know about skating and roller derby. We assess all skaters to the WFTDA minimum skills during the programme, and if some skills still need some polishing at the end of the programme, you are automatically given a spot on the next one.

Training will be held every Sunday at the Jack Kane Sports Centre from 12-2pm and on Wednesday evenings at Holyrood High School from 7-9pm.

The 14 week programme costs £90 which can be paid all at once, or in 3 monthly instalments. Please note, a nonrefundable payment (1st instalment of £30) is required before the programme starts to secure your spot.

Email to sign up to the next Skate Skills programme now.
