ARRG Forum Code of Conduct
ARRG’s forum is open to everyone. There are public sections open to anyone who registers and private areas for ARRG members. Anyone can join and use the forum.
ARRG’s Web Committee, in conjunction where appropriate with the Spokespeople, Grievance Committee and the Board, are responsible for moderating and maintaining the forum.
The purpose of moderating the forum is to make it a welcoming and useable environment for everyone. Moderators have the power to move posts into different topic areas (for example into an area that contains related discussions and information), to delete posts if they are considered inappropriate and to lock topics so that no more posts can be added.
The forum is an open space where everyone can join in with discussion and decision making. Posts will never be deleted or censored unnecessarily. Below is a short Code of Conduct for using the Forum.
If you have any questions or suggestions regarding the forum fairy should be contacted in the first instance.
[email protected]Code of Conduct:
Posts which include any of the following may be deleted, and users may be cautioned;
* Offensive, threatening or discriminatory language;
* Harassment of other users;
* Hurtful, unprofessional, slanderous or offensive personal remarks;
There is nothing wrong with moaning from time to time, everyone does it! The trouble with forums, even private ones, is that comments can be taken out of context, or misinterpreted by others who maybe don’t know the full story. No one wants a completely censored forum, and it’s not a big deal to think say catty things, it’s just that writing them on the forum isn’t always a great idea.
The ARRG Forum Code of Conduct with reference to items 1 and 2 from the ARRG Code of Conduct:
1. NO bitching, NO bullying, NO bullshit and NO backstabbing in ARRG.
2. It’s nice to be nice!
