So for those of you who don't know me, by day I'm an Art teacher at Linlithgow Academy, and the brilliant guidance department have asked me if I would consider asking the lovely ARRG's if they would like to come to the school on the 22nd of August to be part of an S5/6 Personal Development programme, where the kids are taught about setting targets, achieving goals, and generally being inspired by motivational people. What those of you who are interested would be asked to do is a 10 min inspirational talk about the team, how you got where you are, and perhaps a bit about inclusion and the diversity of the members. After that, you could show them an example bout and prove to them how amazing you all are! I can promise that you'd love it. The kids are brilliant and you'd be worshipped. Plus, I could try and sort out a free lunch... So, anyone interested? KillaWatts

Do you have to be on the actual team to do this? If not, I'd like to.

I should be ok for this, excited! Would probably just take the day off work (even though talking motivationally to young people is what I do for a job!) Let me know if you need me/details. We'll need to get together and plan first I would think. Yay! xx

Oh my god! I used to go to that school! Freaky!
Sadly seeing as I'm not a skater it would be a waste of time for me to do this (also might be a little weird going back to my old school!)
Good luck with it!

Trust me, you don't want free lunch from the canteen unless you'd like soup with your salt, or potatoes with your salt, or sloppy slimy lasagne with your salt... Eugh. As far as numbers goes, 15 would be a good number I reckon so the first 15 who have said they'd like to take part and know they'll be able to make it would be brill. It doesn't necessarily have to be bout team members either. It's good to represent different levels for diversity. I'll speak to the organiser about it and see what we can provide for lunch. I know that some of you guys will be veggie/vegan so I'll see what I can do. Ideally I'd like to hold a meeting after/before training on a Sunday to talk about what you'd be doing, so that will be organised for the beginning of August. Thanks to everyone who wants to get involved! It's going to be epic! xxx
