TS has decided to run on with a board from now till the world cup – and there are 2 more seats to be recruited for so if anyone wants it – do it!
Mandi, Tarce, and Discord agreed that going forward they would continue as a Management Board rather than have a Team Manager as it’s too much pressure for one person. Thee three are happy to sit on the board going forward, and we will recruit 2 x more (hopefully ARRGs) to the board in the next couple of weeks. There are 3 now, and 5 in the near future, then every decision will have to be made on a voting basis to get through.

All board members will have the position of “board member” as they will all have an equal voice and role. A clear decision making process should be used. There can be two “co-chairs” of the board from amongst the five; whose extra role is to ensure board meetings run smoothly and orderly with notes taken. Voting will be used for decision making, with majority wins. For a democratic practice it would be nice to have an odd number of members, i.e. 5, so that stalemates do not occur. Co-captains of the team can use their voice during board meetings as they will be representing the team skaters. If any of the five board members decide to take on extra duties this will be on the agreement that all board committments be attended to as well as their extra duties. (For example: "Dolly" could sit on the board. In doing so she would have to represent the whole of TS and help in its structuring and orderly running; a very time consuming task. In addition to this she can be involved in the finances of TS and as such could act as a liaison to the board. She would distribute TS finance tasks on an individual basis to different people and then check and monitor the progress, and finally report back to the board. A clear finance person WILL be needed to oversee things and report to the board.) After board meetings the board would then contact certain individuals i.e. Coaches and give them updates or reports. A general report of TS ongoings will be sent to all TS members. TS should be run on a democratic and transparent basis as much as possible, with regular feedback provided.
This is just an idea of how the board will run. The board themselves will finalise it.
