AHOY THERE! My names SarahLeone,

I just saw the Dundee Destroyers vs Granite City in the Jurassic Skate park!!!
IT WAS INCREDIBLE! My first ever live derby bout and I am officially in Love.

My cousin Unprotected Bex took me along to one of the DDs training sessions and I had an absolute blast! Loved the atmosphere, loved the encouragement of individuality (which is refreshing coming from the dance world!!), and got such a rush from skating!

Im originally a Londoner but am currently at Edinburgh University and would LOVE to be part of the AARG team!!! So am definately planning to be at the next Fresh Meat in October!

Im so excited to practice in my new skates...anyone got any ideas about reasonably flat skating grounds other than the meadows??

Cant wait to get my teeth into this insane world!

Your friend Bex has a great Derby name If you check through the forum there is a thread about skating at Crammond on a Monday night. I.P Freely organised it- weather dependant. I haven't been as I don't have outdoor wheels but it's a good place to practice.

i love it when someone wants to join because the bout was so fun! and you already have derby connections!! if you live near a carpark that could be a quite good place to practice. wear protection though!!
