When you are choosing a derby name you are strongly encouraged to check
your name hasn't already been taken. This is most important in regards to
other skaters in the UK and closer Europe.
When deciding on a name here are a few top tips to think about:

1) Use google to check names. And even facebook search.

2) Don't take a name that is obviously used by someone well known. We don't
want to confuse anyone thinking we have suzy hotrod skating with us.

3) Don't use the same name as a skater in the UK.

4) Try not to use the same name as a skater in Europe. We might play them soon.

5) American leagues aren't such a worry but again, no one well known.

6) You don't have to have a derby name. You can use your own name if you want.

7) *Use your commom sense*

8) If you are really that fussed then you can trademark it if you want.

We are no longer registering names on two evils. All names will be double
checked by secretarial before you become a full member.
