SKATER INTRODUCTION
WELCOME TO THE AULD REEKIE ROLLER GIRLS!!

In this 'New Skater Pack' you will hopefully find all the information you need to see yourself through and to understand everything.
(*Please note that the 'new skater pack' is everything that is in the 'new skater introduction' section. There isn't an actual paper copy but please feel free to copy and paste all the info and print it out if needed.*)
If you have any questions, there are a few key people that are always here to help you:

Co-Chairs: Cherry Fury and Jazz T10
Team Captain: Zillah
Head of Referees: Ella Bella Bang Bang
New Skater Committee: Switchblade Jade (spokesperson)

PRACTICE TIMES ARE AT:

NEW SKATERS: are welcome to start their very first practice at a "Fresh Meat Sunday" (details in this section under 'fresh meat sunday' topic)

Email [email protected] to register your interest for this practice. This is £5 for the practice.

*After this initial introduction practice you are welcome to join us on Sundays until you have passed your WFTDA Minimum skills assessment. You will be taking part in an 16 week training session to help you graduate fully to a wednesday. After you have finished your 16 week training and have graduated to a wed's you are encouraged to set up a standing order if you are coming to a wed's and sunday practice on a regular basis (it's cheaper).

*Once you have passed your full wftda standards, passed a rules test, have a standing order, signed some exciting things and have been assessed as scrimmage and/or bout ready, you can the graduate to a FRIDAY! At this point it is now *mandatory* that you have a standing order.

All New skaters are *encouraged* to come to the Friday practices to learn NSO (non-skating official) jobs like penalty tracking, sin bin timing, scoreboard and see how the game is played.

Wednesday 7:30 TO 9:30 at the Jack Kane Centre £5.00

Friday 7:00 TO 10:00 at Meadowbank Stadium £5.00 (bout ready members only- new skaters welcome to watch and NSO)

Sunday 2:45 to 4:45 at the Jack Kane Centre £5.00 (new skaters, advanced off skates.

There is a standing order of £35/month.
This is mandatory for all bouting members.
Bank details can be obtained from Velosidy or email [email protected]

The WFTDA assessment will be carried out by representatives from the Referee’s Committee with involvement from both the New Skater Committee and the Sports and Training Committee. The WFTDA assessment will be carried out during new skater training on a Sunday. Please email [email protected] or [email protected] if you have any questions regarding your graduation to Wednesdays.
