Hey

I was wondering if anyone has ever made their own skates by mounting football boots to plates because I would like to do this! I've seen a ref with custom skates (Feminist Killjoy I think) but not a skater. If you had any drastic problems let me know but I think it should work well.

Did Slam not make skates once from mounting plates on a pair of trainers?

I guess the main issue might be the sole of the boot and how strong it was. Especially for the tight turning movements in Derby.. But I am sure the Internet would know more than me
