so just to clarify, it could be something team captains want to bring up at captains meetings at future games with the ref's.

a skater who gets blocked out of bounds by an opposing skater who then straddles the line while blocking, if you 'cut track' to go back in bounds in front of the straddling skater, this is not a cutting track penalty. they are not 'in bounds' as the track boundary is in bounds. if done correctly, according to the rules they could get done for OOB blocking. three majors can you clarify what rules number this is?

also, multi player blocks. it states that if you grab a teamate or their clothing to push or pull to adjust speed etc this is no impact no foul. if you touch a teammate while blocking and if you are holding a teammate from behind and block.

just so we know.
ps: i was told, when going back in front of an out of bounds or OOB fallen skater, you can't gain momentum to go back in. this is obvious but you need to go on the track *then* start skating.

You are correct that straddling the track and continuing to block is blockign out of bounds. (6.8.12 and 6.8.3)
You can go in front of a player straddling the track with no penalty (6.11.1)

The Multiplayer blocking (6.7) Using a team mate to brace yourself to get more force to hit is not allowed, however using a team mate to steal a whip to gain momentum to block is allowed as long as you let go of them. That's how i intepret the front back one.

as for momentum offtrack (6.12.6) basically slowing yourself is allowed, but any pushing or gliding which isn't purely to step back on track is deemed as "skating out of bounds" This means unless you're going to or coming from the penalty box you should not push or gain momentum off track.

3 Majors or one of the others might be able to correct anything i've missed but I think i covered what you asked for

no impact/no penalty
6.7.5./6./7. these accept that contact is made between skaters, but that the conecting point is not that which is blocking,
eg. the front/back is a skater holding the hips of the skater in front, and booty blocking an opponant (legally)
bracing yourself is allowed (sorry Blackjack)

yes! perfect sense.
to confirm, if i am holding my players shirt and booty block someone else, because my teammate is not also hitting her at the same time, it's fine.
if for some reason i went to booty block and the skater then goes the other way and slams into my arms and the back of my player then we are done for multi player. interesting. would said player also get a back blocking minor? and if she didn't fall would we get a multiplayer block minor only?

If said player hits your arms no she won't get done as she is hitting a legal target (your arms) with a legal zone (her chest)

However you forming the multi player by grabbing your team mate could get a penalty for forearms or multi player. You are doing the grabbing of her shirt so you are responsible.

For your opponent to get done for back blocking she would have to hit your team mate square on the back and I can't imagine that if she is also hitting your arms. Remember to hit the shoulder blades is legal, it's just the bit between the bra straps that is illegal.

I though the joint momentum of 2 players counted as a multiplayer block too, however it's always good to get it clarified.

It's a commonly misunderstood rule Blackjack - ALWAYS comes up, even amongst players/refs over here.

multi player block = a link between players which is impeding the opposition skater. As I understand it it can also be called if the player doesn't even make impact but as a result of the link, she deviates from the original course to successfully go around two linked players. I will try and clarify this with our WFTDA refs though...
