this was ace!
especially the injury part. i know when i was concerned in the very beginning about getting hurt, i went and fell off my bike and injured my shoulder way more than in any roller derby game. and it proved to me that i can hurt myself outwith derby anyways so might as well give it my all! yay!
and quite interesting about the 'dressing up as maybe un feminist' kinda thing. that sorta discussion could go on for ages!
reminds me of kathleen hanna, early riot grrrl time, writing cunt and slut all over herself at gigs to 'take back the words' and use them for herself rather than having then used against her.
that is how i feel about the fishnet and hotpants thing.
