Out of all the halls that are used for non-league skating, which is the biggest? I know porty is small... Looking for one that can fit at least a 90% track or so, i'm interested in practicing speed skating stance.

Hey Collie, Porty is actually the biggest! The others are much smaller. CYC is half the size of porty, and bowhill and Stockbridge are also smaller. What about an outdoor skate? Cramond is really good because during the day it's not busy at all and flat for miles. Andy clockwise, Alma and I measured our speed one time over 8 miles and we averaged 14 mph. You can get really good speed up. Plus if your stance isn't perfect you fall Weathers a bit better this week so I might venture out

If you're looking to work on speed stance for on the track, you'd be better skating indoors. Yes you can get a lot of speed up outside but it's a completely different stance which doesn't lend itself to on the track.

Maybe sneak into the other hall at JK on a sunday? It's often got no-one in it. Skating in the dark is also quite fun.

Also, JK used to have an hour on Monday night free. I'm sure you could get enough people to join you in speed skating practice to make it affordable.

I'd be interested if we had enough people to keep the cost down!

I'd definitely be in if you don't think I'd be in the way, a slow-poke like me. I just want to work on form and stance still.
