Right well its not really very clear but I will try and explain it. 6.8.2 Players are straddling the track boundry line when they are simultaneously touching both inside and outside the track boundary line. Straddling players are subject to cutting the track penalties when they are in bounds, upright and skating. The boundary line is considered in bounds.so basically this means that if you have one foot inside and foot outside you are straddling. However. Minor Penalties 6.8.9 An upright player straddling the track boundary who passes one in-play player, and the ceases her out of bounds contact. So basically you will not get called for cutting the track until you pass a skater and then stop all contact out of bounds. Does that make sense? The same applies for a major but obviously it is for mulitiple players. And if you pass the foremost skater while straddling and the come back and are fully in bounds. You can still get called for cutting the track but not when you are not/have stopped straddling. It is only once you are back in bounds that you can be called on it. If you do not pass any skaters there is a no impact no penalty. Also if you completely leave in bounds and then re-enter legally there is no penalty either. I hope this helps. xxx Does this all make sense.

Did you even know the offside rule! Very few people do but really its not that hard, its just hard to see as it all happens so fast.

and then 're-entering legally' means like on your knees. and then getting up? and if you re-enter while upright and skating and then get back in front of the player who blocked you, you get a minor/major depending. and what is with the whole knees thing? does this mean that if i get back in bounds, on my knees and then get up, i don't receive a penalty? (at the same time hoping noone is gonna skate over me). thanks! z
